Moon Keeper

This unique, handmade ceramic sculpture was created from light-coloured clay, painted with engobes, finished with glazes and fired at 1200°C.

The sculpture is inspired by the cycles of the moon, intuition and the emotional part of ourselves that we often keep hidden beneath the surface. The crescent moons floating above the figure symbolise constant change and the invisible rhythms that shape us over time.

The calm face contrasts with the intensely red collar — almost like a ceremonial mask, a beautiful outer layer facing the world. Beneath it lies something softer, more instinctive and difficult to name. I wanted this sculpture to feel both protective and introspective — like a small guardian of the inner world of emotions and transformation.
